The founder of The Moonshot Mastery Academy, and this work is the truest expression of my life’s journey, where science, soul, and self development come together to empower the next generation.

​

My mission is to help young people and their families overcome challenges, unlock their potential, and build lives of clarity, confidence, and inner freedom. This is not just tutoring. It is transformation.

​

With over 13 years of experience in education, including roles as a science teacher, department lead, and whole school teaching and learning lead, I have taught and mentored over 10,000 young people. From classrooms in the UK to tutoring across the globe, including the Bahamas and Bangladesh, I have seen first-hand how education, when approached holistically, can become a powerful force for self-discovery.

Before entering the field of education, I followed a varied and grounded path. I worked in supermarkets, lifeguarded local swimming pools, and later became a qualified lifeguard trainer and IRB rescue boat assessor, leading school trips and international expeditions. These early roles instilled in me values such as responsibility, adaptability, and service.

Academically, I earned both a BSc and MSc in Chemistry, later undertaking postgraduate research into the synthesis of the Mycobacterium tuberculosis cell wall. This work was driven by a deep curiosity for healing and human connection. Although I chose Chemistry over Environmental Science for financial reasons, my heart has always remained close to the natural world.

I completed my PGCE in Teaching in 2010, following a strong sense of calling to education. I entered the classroom not only to teach, but to inspire curiosity, confidence, and self worth in students, especially those who feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure of their potential.

​

A vivid childhood memory that has stayed with me is spotting a kingfisher at my local pool in Baggeridge. Not long afterwards, I was given The Life of Birds by David Attenborough, which sparked a lifelong desire to be an advocate for both the vulnerable and the environment.

​

At the age of 33, I fulfilled a personal dream by moving to Newquay to live by the ocean, a long-held vision made real, and a deep reconnection with nature and self.

Alongside my professional journey of becoming a life coach. I have also walked a personal path of growth and healing, facing my own shadows and learning what it means to live consciously and authentically. These experiences deeply inform my work as both an educator and a coach.
